California Writers Club
Membership
When joining the California Writers Club, new members are asked to identify a primary branch where they can attend monthly meetings. That branch receives a portion of the member’s annual dues.
Members who live out of state or far from a branch location can join the Statewide branch.
Membership is available in three categories:
Active, Associate/Literary Professionals, and Student.
Please note that before you are able to complete the Membership Registration, you will be asked to create a User Profile on the site.

Active
$65
Active members are writers who produce works of fiction, nonfiction, memoir, poetry, plays or other creative writing. A writer does not have to be published to be an Active member.

Associate/Literary Professionals
$65
Associate members are career professionals in areas related to writing. Associate members include editors, librarians, agents, booksellers, publishers, producers, directors, and book illustrators.

Student
$15
Student memberships are offered to writers from the ages of 14 through 22. Student members will not be eligible to vote or hold office. Exceptions may be made by the central board.
